Who we and our customers are

We are the charity for around 700,000 people in the UK with autism and their families. In Wales, there are over 30,000 people affected by autism.  We provide information, support and campaign for a better and fairer world for people with autism.  We are proud of the difference we make.  The Belin Centre is a Day Service for people with complex needs.

Who we are looking for

We currently have part time Support Worker vacancy and are looking for warm, positive, person centred people who are committed to ensuring that people with autism enjoy the highest quality of life. 

A sound knowledge of autistic spectrum conditions and experience using autism specific approaches such will be highly advantageous as would a provable interest and background in SEN learning.

The desirable standard of education for this role is set at NQF level 2.  Having held a full driving license for one year is essential.

What we can offer you

We offer excellent training opportunities, a pension scheme and 25 days’ annual leave (rising to 27 days after five years). An extra three days are awarded in the ‘anniversary years’ of service from ten years onwards (i.e. ten, 15, 20 years), taking holiday entitlement to 30 days for that year.

Salary:  £6,750 per annum
Contract: Permanent
Hours: 18.5 hours p/w on average.
Location: Belin Centre, Caerleon, Newport
