Job Description

Experienced nursery nurse required.

We are a brand new nursery that will be opening shortly and we are looking for dynamic, enthusiastic and caring individuals to join our new team.

Nursery practitioners will need to;

· display good knowledge

· experienced in carrying out observations,

· Planning activities and conducting assessments.

· They will be professional, have excellent time management skills

· and be effective communicators

· Ensure that the children are cared for in a happy, safe and stimulating environment where they are able to learn and grow at their pace

· Manage children’s’ behavior in a positive manner

· Work effectively in partnership with parents and families

· Follow policies and procedures set out by the nursery

· Contribute to the development of the service

· Undertake a shared responsibility for health, safety and cleanliness throughout the setting

· Ensure confidentiality at all times

 

This is an exciting opportunity for the right candidates to be involved in the planning, development and success of our nursery from the very beginning.

You will have;

· Qualified to a NVQ or equivalent level 3 or above

· Food Hygiene awareness with a recognized certificate

· Paediatric First Aid with a recognized certificate

· Safeguarding/ Child protection qualification with a recognized certificate

· Experience in a key worker system

· Welsh speaking would be a bonus but not essential

This is a full time position on flexi shifts between 35 – 40 hours a week Monday to Friday.

What you will receivefrom us;

· Full time contract

· 35 – 40 hour a week Monday – Friday

· 20 days excluding Bank Holidays,Will also be paid for Bank Holidays

· £5.03 – £6.31 an hour depending on age and experience
