Job Description

Purpose:

The Front of House Supervisor role is to support the Community Centre learning manager in the day to day operational activities of the centre and the provision. Monitoring the performance efficiency and effectiveness of ITEC’s provision to ensure performance and excellent learner and customer experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Centre

  • To support the Community Centre Learning Manager in the day to day operational coordination of the Pill centre and provision.
  • Ensuring the smooth running of the centre.
  • To oversee the day to day coordination of all provision at Pillgwenlly Community Vocational Learning Centre in line with locally identified needs.
  • Report any maintenance issues to the Business Support Manager and Centre Manager.
  • Report all health and safety issues to the Health & Safety Manager and Centre Manager.
  • Support in ensuring the maintenance, security, up-keep and standards within the whole centre facilities and grounds.
  • Ensuring high quality standards are maintained at all times at the centre.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety legislation and food hygiene regulations.
  • To provide direct professional support to the Community Centre learning manager.
  • Support in the administration and management reporting as required.

Community Engagement

  • To support in the marketing of the provision and services, raising awareness within the local community of services
  • Working with community partners in Pillgwenly and establish and maintain local relationships.
  • Deal with customer, learners and other stakeholder queries and complaints in a timely and effective manner through to resolution.
  • Working with, and establishing relationships with, local business to identify placement and job opportunities for learners.
  • Working with local schools, youth clubs and other youth providers in the area to engage learners onto programmes with ITEC.
  • Liaising with 3rd party organisations, partnership companies, charities, voluntary and educational networks as required.
  • Establish new business and maximising on existing business partnerships for learner placement and job opportunities.
  • Play an active part in the selling and endorsement of all ITEC Training products and services to attract new learners.

Learners

  • Safeguarding of all learners. Ensuring a safe learning environment. 
  • Provide safeguarding support and advice in conjunction with Safeguarding officers. 
  • Support all staff in the management of learner behaviours and discipline.

People

  • Overseeing reception and training provision, including all centre users.
  • Supporting delivery staff as required.
  • Support the team in providing a quality learner experience.
  • Support Centre Manager in dealing with employee performance, reviews, wellbeing and concerns.

General

  • To ensure security of company assets
  • To comply with all company policies and procedures
  • To comply with the companies safeguarding policy & procedure
  • To comply with Equal Opportunities Legislation and be proactive in challenging prejudice, discrimination and stereotyping.
  • To implement in full the Company’s quality policies and procedures.
  • To consult the Company Health and Safety Policy with regards to their specific responsibilities as described in the general arrangements section
  • To give consideration to their actions at work as to how they may affect the safety of Learners, clients and visitors to Company premises
  • Support organisations core values
  • Co-operate with all staff to achieve a healthy and safe workplace and reporting any risks identified, at the company’s or others premises, to the designated Health and Safety Officer.
  • Other duties that may be identified from time to time by the Company.
  • Attend relevant training / personal development programmes
